Scott and I have a lot in common. Few of you know I made my living promoting fashion events – but at calf roping contests in East Texas.
I’m not going to argue about the syntax of the comment by a prominent politician saying, “If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” In the best possible way, Scott Harrison would be the first to say he did not build Charity:Water on his own – and that is part of the genius. People obviously believe they are a part of this because in just over five years, Charity Water has raised over $50 million from 250,000 generous donors around the world. They have also funded 4,282 water projects that will provide two million people with clean drinking water in 19 countries.
I cannot tell you Scott’s story. He will have to show you.
Please welcome Scott Harrison to The Gathering.
